Voter Registration Drives are hosted throughout the community, throughout the year. Maybe you’ve seen us at a school or university, a public library, a city hall, standing in your garage when you come home from work. (No , that’s not creepy at all. Just kidding. I’m curious to see who is actually reading this.)
Our members are trained and certified by the State, and serve as Voter Registrars, Election Judges, Poll Watchers and Observer Corps

Candidates from all parties are invited to attend and are offered the opportunity to discuss their Points of View and to answer Questions from the public. Members of the League are trained to moderate these forums. These forums were one of the first activities the LWV hosted in the early 1920’s !
All are welcome to attend and participate.

An observer is an individual who regularly attends governmental meetings of bodies, agencies, committees, state legislative, executive agency, local board of elections, city/town councils, county commissioners, school boards, zoning/planning boards, and others.
The Observer notes what happens at the meeting, and reports back to the League. Observers learn more about what their government is doing by taking notes, filling out the Observer form, and reporting to the board and the branch for actions to be taken into consideration.
