The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization that works to protect fair elections, to protect voting rights, to ensure everyone is represented in our democracy and to increase civic engagement. We endeavor to influence public policy through education and advocacy. We empower voters and defend democracy through advocacy, education and litigation at the local, state and national levels.

The Palos-Orland area LWV serves the people living in the southwest suburbs of Cook County, Illinois. These include Bridgeview, Crestwood, Evergreen Park, Hickory Hills, Hometown, Justice, Lemont, Midlothian, Oak Forest, Oak lawn, Orland Hills, Orland Park, Palos Heights, Palos Hills, Palos Park and Tinley Park.
